Privacy Policy Auto Grade Filler
Last updated: 11 June 2026
Auto Grade Filler ("the extension") is a productivity tool that fills, imports,
and exports student marks inside web grade-book pages that you open. This policy
explains exactly what it does with data.
What data the extension accesses
- When you click a button in the extension, it reads the grade table on the
active tab only (student names, IDs, and marks shown on that
page) in order to fill or export them.
- This happens locally, in your browser, only on a tab you explicitly act on
(using Chrome's
activeTab permission).
What the extension does NOT do
- It does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any data.
- It does not send anything to the developer or to any server.
- It has no analytics, tracking, advertising, or remote code.
- It does not run in the background or on pages you haven't acted on.
Where data goes
- Marks you fill stay on the grade-book page until you click
that site's own Save button. The extension never saves or approves anything
on your behalf.
- Exported and template files (
.xlsx) are generated
inside your browser and saved to your own computer via the
normal browser download. They are not uploaded anywhere.
Permissions used
activeTab — read/modify the grade table on the current tab,
only when you click an extension button.
scripting — inject the fill/extract logic into that tab on your
click.
No host permissions are requested; the extension cannot access any site until
you invoke it on that tab.
